Collection: THE LIGHTNING KIDS

The Lightning Kids are singer-songwriter Emma Ballantine, guitarist/producer Darryn McHardie (aka Cinematix1993) and songwriter/producer Jonny Spalding.

Described as the ‘Retrowave London Grammar’ & ‘Synthwave 2.0’, The Lightning Kids have strong Synthwave roots, however with undertones of British alternative bands like The Cure & The 1975, as well as nods to great Californian records by The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.

Following the success of debut album ‘All Of Those Nights’ in late 2022 (gathering over 1m views on Tik Tok, #1 placement on German and UK Alternative Album charts on iTunes and over 350,000 album streams on Spotify), The Lightning Kids return with a special project of remixes and collaborations on the same set of songs.

‘FM’ is an 8-track remix album featuring some of The Lightning Kids' favourite artists including Sunglasses Kid, Cassetter, The Last Concorde, Kidburn, Adam Ford & Francci. 2 bonus tracks come from UK Techno DJ Amy Lauren and Belgium producer The Hawkins Kid.

The CD-R version of the viral 'FM' album has been released by Aztec Records in 2024, containing 18 tracks (the original 10 tracks plus 8 instrumental tracks available exclusively on the physical CD).
