Collection: SURRENDER

Canada-based synth-pop duo Surrender was formed in 2018 by multi-instrumentalist Dave Williams and vocalist Scott McCash. Having played in numerous acts over the past twenty-plus years - including The Steve Adamyk Band, The Creeps, Sedatives ad Black Tower - and together in Crusades for the past ten, Surrender is the pair’s first foray into more traditional pop song-craft, inspired chiefly by the synth-driven acts of the early 80s UK and the moody alt-pop groups of the 90s.

Their first, self-titled LP was tracked at the members’ own studio in Ottawa and features guest appearances from Jolie Lindholm (The Darlin Fire, Dashboard Confessional, The Rocking Horse Winner) and Joseph Shabason (The War On Drugs, Destroyer). Surrender found a kindred spirit in collaborator Alex Gamble (Tasseomancy, Fucked Up, Alvvays, PUP) who produced/mixed at The Hive in Toronto.
